Sudan Programme: An Update

Sudan Programme: An Update

We recently attended Humanitarian Network and Partnerships Week (HNPW 2024) which took place in Geneva. We took the opportunity to present learnings from our work over the last year around Sudan, post-outbreak of the conflict in April 2023, foremost among which must be: Complement, don’t compete.

Diasporas play a key role in humanitarian crises. Their connections to their countries of origin/heritage offer unique insights, resources, and networks.

As we see more funding cuts in the sector, whilst humanitarian crises are increasing, we have to look at cost effectiveness.

And working directly with diaspora and local responders is the way forward.
